whoo!!...thinkin' about my thinning hair on a bus ride home...and the way you look like in your underwear!! those kids know how to write a good song. there's nothing i like better than to emerge from a hot shower and dance to earth crisis' hilarious cover of the rolling stones' paint it black (i'm assuming that's also where paint it black got its name from). any earth crisis song will do, but the bass on their version makes me giggle like nuthin' else. speaking of ___, will is in timf! i guess i knew that, did i know that? that's weirdly funny too. i used to think i saw him skirting through the subways all angelic and will-like when i first moved to new york, but that's just my way of seeing people in places i want them to be. anyway, who cares except that i was always disarmed by his soft-spokenness and his supposed crush on nick pal. my new/old favorite band is the ergs. i just really really like them. and my new favorite website is lacan dot com. they operate THE WOOSTER PRESS which is an amazing press. as a present to myself for slogging my way through one more semester in this shitty town when all i want to do is abandon ship and rent a shack fo' twofitty a month in bloomington indiana iiisssssssss this:
i am kicking myself for not going w/ saimee to the deitch gallery when zizek spoke for 'welcome to the desert of the real,' it would have been perfect for our conference duh! they published fifteen theses on contemporary art, of which number twelve is, i quoth: "non-imperial art must be as rigorous as a mathematical demonstration, as surprising as an ambush in the night..." hmm, 'mathtematical demonstration,' i like the many ways in which i can like that phrase.
